March 12, 2008 – For Immediate Release
Still Kickin’ Foundation and Trace Productions begin Production of Historical Documentaries

In January of 2008, production began on two documentary films profiling the rich musical heritage of Texas, with principal funding provided by the Still Kickin’ Foundation.
These documentaries, Produced and Directed by Tracy Ready and Trace Productions highlight the musical impact of North Texas on modern Blues, Jazz and Rock and the force of San Antonio and South Texas’ influence in Americana, Rock, Country, Tejano and Western Swing music.
The stories are told with emphasis on interviews with living pioneers of the legendary sounds of these regions of Texas. Their stories and first person narratives are key to understanding the impact of this music on American popular culture, and how it all evolved.
The one-hour segments are the first two episodes in a proposed five part series, of which each episode will be a stand-alone one-hour documentary. Production began in Dallas and San Antonio in 1080i high definition format, and will continue through June 2008. Post production editing of the projects will be handled by Creative Editor David Henson of Distilled Images, Dallas, Texas with custom music score provided by Composer Sal Salvador, of The Song Solution, Dallas Texas.
Your tax-deductible contribution to the Still Kickin’ Foundation will be greatly appreciated, in our efforts to capture the stories of elderly Americans whose wealth of experience and wisdom cannot be overstated.
